Bob Rogina started Rogina & Associates, Ltd. in the basement of a model home in December 1987. This was the start of a civil engineering, land surveying and land planning company that has grown to be the largest firm of this type with their principal offices in Will County. Rogina & Associates, Ltd. currently operates from offices at 93 Caterpillar Drive in Joliet and 19149 S. Blackhawk Parkway in Mokena. From these locations, the firm’s professional staff provides surveying, planning and engineering services to industrial, commercial, residential and recreational projects for major private/public corporations and provides civil engineering services for environmental and transportation projects for municipal clients. Will County was considerably different in 1987. The population of Will County was approximately 350,000. Joliet’s population was approximately 77,000. 20 years later, the county population is estimated at 668,000 and Joliet’s population is estimated at 146,000. This growth is the inspiration for theme of Rogina & Associates, Ltd.’s 20th anniversary year. The firm will spend 2008 celebrating 20 years of engineering community growth as indicated below: While services of Rogina & Associates, Ltd. have contributed to the growth of many communities, projects in the Illinois Route 59/Caton Farm Road area have provided for growth in the City of Joliet. Rogina & Associates has represented more than 15 subdivisions consisting of approximately 2000 acres in this area. 18,000 of our neighbors live in homes that were constructed on these projects and have benefited from the engineering services provided by Rogina & Associates. Throughout these projects, Rogina professionals have advocated for infrastructure that meets community standards and respects the need to provide housing at a reasonable cost. The Silver Cross Hospital Foundation, Joliet Rialto Square Theater Board, Will-Joliet Center for Economic Development and the Will County Community Foundation all enjoy the participation of Bob Rogina as a Board member. These are only a part of the activities that Bob Rogina undertakes as his civic responsibilities. |
